Sources of inspiration comes from all the things around us: fashion, culture, nature, ect. Fashion and travel are my guilty pleasures. I live in a city studio apartment and closet room is not cheap! So instead of using Mr. Visa (my sugar daddy of choice (and even he has his limits)), I am going to blog about everything that inspires me! free counters

  • I am an accessories whore. I mean this in the best way of course but shiny objects just attract me and I’m in touch with that, which makes it ok.

In a holiday shopping adventure I stumbled into Sugarcube: http://www.facebook.com/sugarcube.us?sk=info, 124 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Actually, there was no stumbling involved and I had no reason to be there except for myself. This is where I ran into trouble or rather Peasant Jewelry out of Pittsburgh. I was immediately drawn to bracelets with real keys and charms (turns out he uses found objects). I found two I really liked (which ran about $25 so I wasn’t whoring out my Visa card) when I realized that they had sayings embossed on them. The irony of the whole thing was that one read “God Bless Philly” while the other said “Fuck It.” Now I’m sorry, that’s a really tough choice! Philly is very near and dear to my heart while “Fuck It” is actually the best advise I ever got when I was 21 from my manager at a seedy bar (and word to the wise was that I didn’t follow his advise and was depressed for months after. I later chose to live by his words). Even better was that “Fuck It” was engraved on a Tiffany-esque heat charm. I was sold. When I die, whoever inherits my jewelry box with find this and wonder what the fuck was wrong with me. (Accessory whores run in my family and I wonder what in the hell my grandmother and her four sisters did with like forty crab pins).

In other news, the jewelry designer is pretty kick ass and you can read about him here:
